"I spotted a mother cheetah and her two cubs on a misty morning in the Kruger National Park. The cubs were very playful, making sure to jump on every single fallen tree stump in their path. It was a sort of 'king of the castle' game to see who could reach the top first. This photo was my favorite."

This was taken on my last night in Morondava in Madagascar. As I was looking for a spot to photograph sunset in Madagascar's famous Baobab alley my guide spotted this amazing chameleon crossing the road.

While driving in Masai Mara, I noticed a really large shadow in the far distance. When getting closer, I understood it was a group of majestic elephant gathered under the lonely tree.

gorillas awaits. This image captures their essence, as their piercing gazes evoke a sense of

Two Texas horned lizards copulate in the middle of a highway in West Texas. These lizards are the state reptile of Texas and deeply loved by all Texans. They have been disappearing from their historical range for a number of reasons, including urbanization and hazardous roads.

This was taken in the Pantanal in Brazil. I got brave and decided to try and get some over under shots of the plentiful caiman in the river. Let's just say some were more curious than others.

I knew at this spot lived a group of kangaroos and so I planned to take a wide angle shot of a group of kangaroos in their beautiful surroundings at sunrise. Then this kangaroo mother and her Joey turned away from me to face the sunrise and the stunning landscape. Just as a human family would do.

The sun made a brief appearance. The little ice crystals sparkled before disappearing into the grey clouds.

It is night-time in Indonesia's Banda Sea. Their anemone has contracted, forcing some of the family of anemone-fish to huddle near the top, amongst the few exposed tentacles while another patrols the exposed exterior of the anemone.

I set out to shoot sunset on a short trip to Maui. A good friend of mine knew of this special place where the turtle come up into a cave to rest. It was quite difficult to get to, we had to walk through the water along a cliff side, the tide was rising so it wasn't very easy.

I spent some time watching this Black-backed Jackal hunt sandgrouse in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. She would wait patiently as the sandgrouse landed at a waterhole, ignoring small groups. It was only when the larger flocks landed that she sprung into action - and with great success too!

This was taken in Chobe National Park. We had been having some really slow days in Botswana, seeing very few big cats and the ones that we did see were mostly sleeping. It wasn’t until our second night in Chobe did, we find a big pride of lions who had some really young cubs.
